Project Description:
This is a software project for an online syndicate system, whereby a user can join a lotto syndicate for euromillions. The system should then allocate numbers and winnings accordingly to a users account. We wish the system to sit on top of the Joomla CMS and interface with Realex credit card aquisition.
There are two main areas of construction, front end and back end (admin). On the front end we would like users to be able to signup for free but then deposit money into their account for use on joining one or more syndicates. The number of users that can join one syndicate will be limited. We would like the system to autocreate another syndicate once the last one is full. The user account / deposit feature should be similar to Betfair and make use of Realex's capacity to store credit card numbers securely but that all transactions after the initial one be authorized by the 3 digit security code in a similar manner to betfair. Users should also be able to see their account history, lodgements, withdrawals and winnings. The Syndicate will be for Euromillions but not every draw will be entered therefore draws will be listed as next draw, 2nd next draw etc.
In the Backend we would like to input the winning numbers and also the prizemoney per win. i.e. there are 10 prizes from jackpot down to match three. On entry of numbers and prizes the system should credit winnings to each syndicate and by proxy to each member account. The system should also assign the numbers to the syndicate from a file of a number of special combinations which we will play with multiple rows assigned to individual syndicates. The backend admin should also be able to change variables such as members per syndicate (initially there will be a 25 member and 50 member) but also add a new syndicate type (e.g. a 100 member) and also change the file with the number combinations. There should also be a checks and balances system throughout the process.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate previous examples of their work. Above description is the basic overview but an exact schema diagram for exact processes has been done up, any improvements or recommendations will get serious consideration.
