Here is a list of things I hope to accomplish with my asterisk system. I'm interested in learning how to config this myself. I have a Fedora Core 4 system with a TDM22B card installed. You can ssh in and we can use screen of vnc which ever works out is fine with me. - Outgoing calls setup via 2 FXO ports (pots lines) or IAX via upstream provider NUFONE. - Incoming calles routed via via pots lines and IAX service - I intend to port at least one DID to NUFONE. - Auto Attendant greeting and call routing to voice mail. - Several voice mail boxes setup - Play greeting only - Play greeting and take message - Forward to outside line via IAX service - Ring an FXS port - if no answer take message - Establish two analog phones on the FXS ports - Set outbound caller ID on the fly via IAX trunk - Set a plan on how to route aoutbound calls. - Call Logging via CDR Database - outgoing calls via a softphone? - Web based to look at call history and system usage (asterisk at home?) - Set up for some type of IP phone on the LAN. I'll let you make suggestions on what protocol / codec /phone - Lesson in AGI Scripts For instance I'd like asterisk to look at the inbound caller ID and do something based on that caller ID. For instance if xxxx number comes in forward that call on an outside line to yyyy Another example if xxxx comes in do nothing -- nothing at all. - INBOUND fax service (This is a bonus bun not necessary)
