Customize osCommerce shipping/Easy Populate

I have osCommerce installed on a Cobalt Raq4 that was purchased as a .pkg file from Nuonce Networks http://www.nuonce.net/view/cobalt-oscommerce.html

Part A
My main vender uses table rates for drop shipping but I have some items that I need to exclude from using that method. Entering 0 for the item weight works until you add non-excluded items to the order. Stated differently, I have some items that are "free freight" and need to make osCommerce reflect that on checkout. It doesn't matter if the solution includes a contribution or just showing me what settings to change.

Part B
I've got the Easy Populate contribution installed and working. I'd like to be able to designate an item for free shipping in the .csv file that Easy Populate uses to upload catalog items.

Part C
The contribution Mo Pics is also installed which gives me additional photos for catalog items. I'd like to be able to use Easy Populate to upload the additional photo information in the same manner as it does the first photo.
