Performing Nagion or Zabbix monitoring installation on Linux Debian 4 Etch, including client/admin side GUI and multiple add-ons for easy and fast operations.

## Deliverables

I need a Nagion or Zabbix installed, on a Linux Debian 4 Etch server (linux-vserver)

This installation must include (and not limited to this list) complete client and admin GUI, including multiple add-ons for easy and fast operations.

User-Friendly is the keyword.

The system should be able to monitor multiple servers and services. Must be able to monitor services like FTP, SMTP etc on alternate ports than standard.

Monitoring of entire environments like servers, network equipment, remote monitoring.

Alarms sent trough mail, SMTP and HTTP-SMS Gateway (our own) for notifications.

Complete installation and configuration description, step-by-step, should be delivered to make "disaster-recovery" of environment if needed. (is performed my technical personal)

You will get root access to a dedicated server, where you can install the components needed using standard debian package installer when possible.

Possible further thoughts later in the project.

Basicly i need two things.

- Live survailance of systems, servers and services - sending alerts if needed.
- Monitoring system, with the ability to keep details in history/log for later reference.

Performance monitoring with the possibility for "live stats" and "live
surveillance". If a server is non-responsive someone needs an EMAIL/SMS.
(SMS is sent via http requests)

I would like to have a few templates that i can "attach" to the servers
that is monitored, where different settings of monitoring af used. Also
some templates where i can use monitoring agents on the system locally.

Most of the processes, services and resources that i need to monitor,
should be done from the agent installed, and depending on the purpose of
the server, i want different information.

- However, a few things should always be a standard when we talk about
the usage of agents. (agents to be used on linux, unix, microsoft)
To monitor the following with agents, as default: cpu, mem, disk, swap,
user load, logfile checker (auth, backuplog, daemon, dmesg, kern, mail*,
messages, syslog).

I need agent templates for systems running: (+ the above info)
Windows 200x server agent (printsvr and/or mssql and/or exchange)
Linux LAMP (Linux, Apache, Mysql, Php - check status, config and logs)
Linux Mail/DNS (qmail/postfix/bind)
Linux Plesk ( (LAMP, +Mail, +webadm controlpanel)
Linux Terminal Servers (NX Servers, running NLD/Debian/Ubuntu desktop)

I need remote templates to check the status of public services, like
http, https, pop3, imap4, smtp, ssh, rsync, ftp, ntp, fping/ping, snmp.
(with the possibility to change port number for security)

I also need to be able to monitor Cisco equipment, and communicate with
the equipment using fping/ping and snmp. Having the ability to get stats of bandwidth usage, packages, etc.etc. and having the information on
multiple network interfaces.

I want to setup the monitoring in groups of my clients. And give my
clients access to there area.
