This project is a huge Knowledgebase running on a Linux Server using Apache MySQL and either PHP or Python whichever would be better suited. This knowledgebase will have multiple permission levels. Unregistered Users, registered users, subscribers, editors and admins each with different permission sets that can be changed at any time. All categories and articles are permission controlled either open (everyone can view) or locked down to specific groups. This must be able to intergrate with paypal and provide the user with immediate access to the site (i.e. secure password and username) User sign ins must be logged. Individual user ID's can have individual permissions assigned to them. This **must be extremely** fast as it will have well over **100,000,000+ articles** **with attachments** of varying size and type. and **1,000,000+ categories** going up to **10 levels** deep in a hierarchial format. This must be a scalable solution. I.E. I don't need it completely redone in a year. I have used other PHP MYSQL knowledgebases that claimed to be unlimited at having 1,400 categories and 5 levels deep into this knowledgebase they choked, this program must be able to literally handle the numbers above. It would have an admin control panel to create edit, delete move categories and articles. Also for the articles a fully functionally wysiwyg editor. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). 4. A fully functional knowledgebase with active directory like permission system. 5. Knowledgebase must be able to run On Fedora Core 3 or 4 6. Knowledgebase will be made from PHP, Python using MySQL database. PHP must be latest version (5.0+ currently, MySQL must be latest version to support Transact SQL statements. 7. I will recieve full Source Code for the program once the project is paid for upon agreed amount. 8. Knowledgebase will be able to handle 1,000,000,000+ Articles without severe slowdown (severe slowdown is defined as no longer then 5 seconds to load an article). 9. Knowledgebase will be able to handle 1,000,000+ categories going up to 10 levels deep without pause (their should be almost no time to pull up categories it should be almost instant under 3 seconds) 10. Knowledgebase will be able to support having attachments in articles of any file type .bat .com .exe .pdf .bmp .jpeg .swf etc... 11. Knowledgebase will have a multiple choice type troubleshooter available with each article. Can be created by admin to go any number of steps and support pictures or flash / swf files. Just like Windows help system where it asks yes or no questions. 12. It will contain a glossary 13. Show total number of articles in knowledgebase 14. Knowledgebase will support the same article being linked to multiple categories (this should be limitless). That way their is not redundant articles to fill two similar categories 15. Knowledgebase will show top 10 to 100 articles on main page and on a side bar when under sub categories. 16. Knowledgebase will support unlimited users with unlimited groups. 17. Category order will be in alphabetical order going from left side top to bottom and then continuing right side top to bottom it cannot be a Z pattern alphabetical sorting. 18. Categories can be reordered and maintain child categories when moved to another parent category 19. Categories and articles can be in a published or unpublished status. Unpublished status only admins or editors can see no one else. [login to view URL] will include icons to be tagged to categories. 21. Must include WYSIWYG HTML editor in the admin or editor control panel 22. Must include a spell checker in the WYSIWYG. 23. Has ability to show latest Articles added to the knowledgebase (shows whatever articles were added between two dates definable by the admin and number of these is unlimited). 24. Shows current date and time on main welcoming page 25. Has a secure login for users to login to site if they do not login then it defaults to a guest status and only guest categories can be seen. 26. Knowledgebase must have a security access log file showing me who logged in and where they went. 27. Knowledgebase must not permit a registered users account to be logged in more then one instance i.e. if they have two computers when they sign in on them only 1 of them will allow the sign on the other will not. 28. Needs to be bug free no crashes, no speed issues and must be 100% stable. Must be able to support unlimited categories, users, and articles. 29. Knowledgebase must have a sleek, stylish interface but be fast. 30. Knowledgebase will support multiple views based on user preference . the default would be showing the categories on the left in a hierarchial tree format and at the same time displaying articles on the screen or sub categories. 31. Knowledgebase must be fully searchable and it must be an intelligent search... i.e. if I type something like windows error message and windows error message 1. The program Searches for say windows error message 1 finds it and displays that as the most relevant. 32. Paypal system must be integrated along with different subscription choices such as 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year and the admin must be able to set the discount rate up in the knowledgebase to make it automated. ## Platform Linux Fedora Core 3 or 4 Apache web server MySQl - newest version that supports Transact SQL statments PHP 5 or Python whichever is more efficient being used as a knowledge program.
