We are looking to hire an EXPERT PHP / MySQL Developer for a one year project to be completed on location in Montreal, Canada. Compensation will range from $40K USD to $70K.

Please answer the following pre-qualification questions. We will not respond to bidders who did not answer the pre-qualification questions below:

1. How many domains name could be hosted on a server with 2 public IP addresses and 3 private IP addresses? What do you need to set up in order to provide a multi-domain web server?

2. What is the difference between the 2 following functions?

Function my_function_1 ($input_1) {

return $input_1;

}

Function my_function_2 (&$input_2) {

$input_2 + = 100;

return $input_2;

}

Give an advantage and disadvantage for each method.

3. What is session hijacking? How can you prevent it?

4. What is SOAP? Give an advantage and a disadvantage of SOAP.

5. What is forking? Why would you want to use that? What is a fork bomb?

6. Usually, on a Linux / Unix system what do the following directories contain?

/bin

/boot

/conf

/dev

/etc

/home

/mnt

/tmp

/var

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
