Project Description:
Pre-Information (What we already have got):
We´ve got a website where the user arrives through a i) login page (page #1) where he enters his credentials (Username/password) and being forwarded then to a ii) second page (page #2) where he will be greeted by his correct name, title, etc. (data therefore retrieved from the MySQL database)
At the bottom of this page he´s supposed to forwarded iii) via a link to the next page (page #3) (THAT´S WHERE THIS PROJECT ACTUALLY STARTS SINCE THE STEP i-iii) ARE ALREADY BEING DONE)
PROJECT DESCRIPTION (What we yet need):
The next page (page #3) has a form which the user is supposed to fill out with the following variations:
1. firstly, all fields where data exist in the database shall be pre-entered for the user (e.g. name, title, country, etc.)
2. where there are empty fields (i.e. we don´t have data) the user is supposed to fill them in
2. fields with incorrect data (e.g. name was written wrong or academic title changed) the User shall have the possibility (though the data are already prefilled) to change these (incorrect) entries.
After hitting the submit button the entered data shall be update/actualize (overwrite) the data in the existing database (so it’s up-to-date and has only valid entries) and the User shall then be forwarded to the confirmation page (page #4) (where he get´s a confirmation with correct salutation – data therefore retrieved from the (updated) database)
If the User already was once on the form-page (page #3) hence already actualized his data he shall then when he visits the site again forwarded from page#2 already directly to page #4 the confirmation page (instead as before to page #3) ; so he shan´t be forwarded again to the form this is just done once (so for every following visit the order is: page#1 -->page#2 --> page#4)
Additional Info:
The data are basically uploaded as a csv file to the server from where it then will be imported by a script to mySQL format.
Aside the programming for the form and confirmation page I´d furthermore need is a screen recording for setting all up on the server. Since the finished work will be forwarded to another party for setting up I´d need some kind of visual walkthrough via a screen recording ala Camtasia hence the party who gets the files don´t have to look them up by themselves but just needs to follow the steps shown in the screen-recording - starting from the very first step till (uploading to the server, activation the scripts, …) till the last one. (So actually the programmer would just need to record the screen while setting it up himself)
Schedule: Work needs to be finished within 2 weeks.
The used OS is CentOS 5 32bit
All existing files (from step i-iii); also html-templates for the form and confirmation page will be forwarded.
P.S. Sidenote: Since this little project will actually be part of a much larger tailor-made CRM solution I´d be happy to speak about this next project also with you after finishing as I am also looking for a very competent and reliable programmer for several future projects.
