Live Product Pricing and Price Widget:
Develop custom module or implementation for pricing for gold investment products using live gold price feed.
Each product had 5 attributes defined in backend as inputs for each gold product.
Purity (eg 22ct)
Weight (in g)
Margin (in £)
Cost %
Buyback %
Gold price – this must be obtained. I thought about using http://xml.dgcsc.org/ and have $5 of credit purchased for testing
Price is then calculated with the following formula.
Price = ( (Purity/24) * Weight * Gold Price) * Cost %) + Margin
Below this price on each product will be a buyback price that will be calculated with the following formula:
Buyback Price ( (Purity/24) * Weight * Gold Price) * Buyback %)
Caveats
Gold price must be live and can be obtained via feed mentioned above
All Gold prices must refresh every 15 mins, and page must autorefresh too.
Also if customer places product in shopping cart, and checks out after price has changed, this must autorefresh too
This must not affect pricing for other products on website (eg customer will also have other products on website but pricing will be as per normal magento function)

Also develop a module for live price widget to display across site with the following data:
Gold price in g and oz.
And changable to €,£ or $
