At a glance: I currently have a website where a user types in their name or word, and sees said name in photographs of objects that resemble letters of the alphabet. The software is already in place to have the typed word appear in photographs. I'm partnering with a frame manufacturer that will add custom frames to the orders. I need a way for users to customize their frames (photographs, photograph colors, matte colors, and moulding) directly on the page. I've attached an image of what I would like end product to look like.
Details: There will need to be an area for me to upload the different matte and frame moulding options that will update live on the website (as seen in the image attached). When a moulding is selected, I'd like to integrate css3 transitions to display the details of the moulding they selected (photographs, material, etc.) Once the frame has been customized, and easy option to add the creation to their shopping cart. Once in the shopping cart, I'd like a thumbnail of the customized frame as a whole be displayed, along with frame details. There is already a Paypal checkout system in place - however it directs customers to the paypal website to complete the checkout process. I'd like to update the shopping cart with Paypal's updated options, which put the whole checkout (shopping cart, checkout including credit card information) on my website - Once the user finishes checkout, 4 things need to happen:
1. Receive payment
2. Confirmation order to customer (in place, will need to be updated to include framing details).
3. Order form automatically sent to frame manufacturer (required details will be provided by them).
4. Register with google analytics that an e-commerce transaction just took place.
Current website: www.letterphotography.net
Example website: http://www.alphabetphotography.com/create_a_word.aspx?w=sample
Key factors: Speed, Usability. The marketplace is very concentrated, I want the simplest and cleanest way to customize a frame.
Please Note: My website, www.letterphotography.net is forwarded to my current framing manufacturer once past the homepage. Therefore, to view my checkout process, please see the following links to see current coding:
