260496 Mysql lookup state by zip code

Hi, I have a .csv of every zip code in the United States and its corresponding state, as well as some other information. The list is free from the US Census Bureau [login to view URL] I need just the zip code and the state entered into a mysql database. Then I need a simple function written which will accept the zip code as a parameter and return the state. If an invalid zip code is sent, just send AL as the state. Any questions, feel free to ask. Easy project for an experienced php/mysql programmer.
