We had a calendaring system built on our website several years ago that allows certain court administrator users to import a *.csv file created by their court case system. The import populates a searchable, sortable calendaring system that court administrators, lawyers, judges, etc. can log into and update cases, add notes, select timeslots, etc. The system was built using Cake PHP. Currently, it has the ability for an attorney to register, view and edit notes on cases, receive email alerts (subscriptions) for cases, etc. An Administrator can login and edit any user account and can perform additional functions like calendar imports, text updates, etc.
We want to update this system to accept a few new case types which will require their own import logic.
This project at a high level is to create a system which allows attorneys to schedule their motions and other hearings by accessing the case number on the website. It is like an airline reservation website where you can find out what flights are available and select the flight you want. The difference is that attorneys are looking to see what hearing dates are available to schedule their motions (cases).
We already get the download for the case information in the current system. We have static calendars posted for superior and district civil cases with the ability to post supplemental information. We would now like to add Family Court cases and the ability to schedule cases at the user level.
In doing this, much of the functionality that exists today will remain although we’ll have to change some things around to make the system user-friendly, intuitive and to handle the additional features. I believe there are some other tweaks included as well.

I anticipate needing someone VERY familiar with PHP and MySQL as that is what the current system utilizes and will use for this project.
