I need a function to be added in myMail plugin. Mymail (http://codecanyon.net/item/mymail-email-newsletter-plugin-for-wordpress/3078294) is a newsletter plugin. It allows you to send emails to wordpress users.
This job is simple.
What I want to happen is let the wordpress users (the one accessed thru Admin Panel>Users), be automatically added to a myMail's subscriber list.
(There is another newsletter plugin that does this already, but myMail somehow doesn't. I also installed this other plugin in the site I am testing it on for you to see. It does the function I want already.)
So what's gonna happen with your fix is:
- If I add a user via a wordpress signup form, he will be added to the wordpress users database(Admin>Users) and in a list of subscribers of myMail.
- If a membership plugin is used to add new members to the users list, it will also add them to a MyMail subscriber list automatically.
So that's the function I want added. Users in the wordpress users list will be added to mymail subscriber's list.
There is a function in MyMail that says "Add people who are added via the backend or any third party plugin" which I thought would do the trick, but somehow it doesn't add users to the subscriber list. Maybe its a bug, I don't know. It only adds them to the subscriber list if the admin added the user via Users>Add New.
I have a test site you can work on, with wp-members (a free memebrship plugin) to test if users get added to the subscriber list.
I would prefer that you create a separate code (maybe a small plugin, nothing fancy) as not to interfere with myMail updates.
