we currently have the zen cart multi cross sell module installed but we need it to pick up products that have attributes

as you can see the main product (milan single divan set) has a range of cross sell items available in the "Need a Headboard?
Select from our range below" box
The items in this box are other products - and through the magic of jquery you can add any these items into the basket along with the main product (milan single divan set)
The issue we have is that if one of the items in the cross sell box has attributes (for example - we put 2 attributes on the Miami Black
Single Headboard as having black finish or gold finish) then the customer has no way of selecting the attribute before adding to cart.
so basically we want to enable the cross sell box so that any items inside that have an attribute, then the customer has the ability to select the attribute before adding to cart (with the main product).
no timewasters please! if you cant do the job then dont apply for it!
