I am looking to have a database driven social media website created. I have 90% of the site mocked up for design, but need someone to turn the mock up into a real website. I am looking to have the website written in the .net framework, specifically using c# and MVC 4. I have mock ups and preferred database maps that will have been included. All intellectual property rights for those documents are protected. Any violation of or duplication or use of those documents without the author's consent can result in legal action.
The idea for the site is to create a social media website centered around doing good deeds for other people and seeing the power of those deeds. We want to track how a good deed is passed along from person to person and how it spreads throughout the world. We want to show how one good deed can potentially touch the lives of millions of people.
It all starts with: a good deed:
When one person enters a good deed on the site, they tag the recipient of the good deed (alternatively the recipient of a good deed can post the deed tagging the doer of the good deed.) That person receives a notification by email if they are not a user or by notification if they are already a member. They then do two good deeds for two other people to "pass it along."
The main page the user deals with is a deed feed which shows a list of deeds relevant to them.
They also have a deed journal that shows them a chronology of any good deeds they have done or received.
There is a notification page which gives them updates and notifications regarding any actions taken upon any good deeds related to them.
They also have the ability to favorite deeds and see those favorite deeds on their favorites page.
Clicking on a good deed on any of the above mentioned 4 pages will take them to that deed's "deed chain" which is an org chart of how all the deeds are related to each other. Each deed can have one parent deed and two children deed. (as well as one sibling deed, although we do not necessarily need to track that)
Deeds can have as multiple "doers" as well as multiple "recipients." (I.e. a group of people could do something nice for one person or one person could do something nice for a group of people.)
The following actions can be taken upon a deed:
Shared on social media.
An alternative view for the deed chain will be the deed map, which shows a "heat map" of where the most recent deeds related to the user have been done around the world.
Each user will obviously have a standard profile page where they can make the necessary changes to their profile.
On the back end of things, we will need an admin tool that allows us to ban deeds or users or delete comments, etc. basically to moderate the site. This part does not have to be pretty and I have no preference on how it looks.
