We need a clone of Alienware’s purchasing section (starts @ http://www.alienware.com/Configurator_Pages/area-51.aspx?SysCode=PC-AREA51&SubCode=SKU-EXTREME and ends after the customer submits his/her order). We would need strong back-end web administration to add/modify/delete/etc products, its information, & its categories.
In addition to the Alienware purchasing process section, we would need a user-login that shows the following sections:
*Customer Information (e.g. past orders, contact info, user manuals, etc)
*Knowledge Base (similar to: http://www.j2.com/jconnect/twa/page/help), where we can input questions as needed, and customers can search for answers through keywords
*Downloads (similar to:http://support.dell.com/filelib/criteria.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=bsd&~ck=mn, although excluding the Operating system and Country to make it simpler--only including "Select your category")
*Message Board (similar to: xoxohth.com, although you can use the script from phpBB to make it simpler if you prefer)
You can also use the osCommerce script for the shopping cart. We want the customer to see the information above, and we would need an administrative panel in the back-end to change the contents of the information the customer sees (above). We would like the customer pages to be integrated consistently with our company brand too.
