•If a domain can be registered, the answer is that the domain is available.
•If a domain is already registered, the answer is that the domain is already delegated, which means that it is already registered.
•If the domain cannot be registered of some particular reason, the answer is that the domain can not be registered.
Service for whois output.
Gives default domain information about owner etc.
We talked to the system provider and they suggested as follow: That we create a script that does the availability check and then the WHOIS check and outputs the results in a single page. You can then use this custom page in your whoisservers.php file as a http lookup. For example, if the domain is available, then you would output No Matches otherwise, you can output the WHOIS information.
Please see the documentation from the tld. provider. http://www.norid.no/registrar/system/dokumentasjon/Whois_DAS_Interface_Specification.5e1.pdf
It should be a simple and quick task for a experience php developer.
