Dear all,
I have a php function that creates some html markup language to be fed to a javascript menu.
It works fine.
But I would like to have a newer menu that I've seen at Yahoo YUI [login to view URL]
It would be this one:
The vertical view
[login to view URL]
The horizontal view
[login to view URL]
So the work to do is to create the PHP function that will produce the html markup fed to the Yahoo menu complete with the inclusion of the relevant javascript files.
It is simply to do for the Yahoo menu what I have done for the current menu. No more no less.
The 2 functions would be called:
// Render the header (YUI javascript code) for the menu
function renderHeaderYUI() {
}
// Render the navigation menu
function renderYUI() {
}
and they would be very similar to
// Render the header (DHTML javascript code) for the menu
function renderHeader() {
}
// Render the navigation menu
function render() {
}
in the file [login to view URL]
Write these 2 functions and it all should work.
Also, do not style the menu! You can see the class='' attributes in the render function. These will get styling later based on the website design.
Finally test that:
- The number of cascading is not limited.
- The menu can be horizontal or vertical.
- Each item can display some text or/and an image. If both text and image are present then the image is displayed left of the text.
- It is possible to group the items of a menu.
Cheers
Stephane
