Project Description:
This is part of demo system. Our project grep are falling behind and we need URGENT help on this module. It doesn't need to be 100% as it is a demo system that must exhibit the functionality.
The purpose of the code is to implement a Booking System. It is a fairly simple system. The booking system is a small part of another management system. (The management system allows lecturers, students, clients and tutors to log in. Each of them have their individual roles. )
Let me explain the booking system in terms of the whole system:
A lecturer will log in and go to the booking system. At this page the lecturer must be able to choose the following:
The event name
The venue
The day, month and year
And lastly the tricky part different time slots. (There will be many time slots. ie. on each hour, to setup.)
Example
Event: Assignment 1 Demonstration
Venue: Blue Labs 1
Date: 21-22nd September 2009
Time slots: Slot 1 - 10:00-11:00
Slot 2 - 11:00-12:00 etc. etc.
An event can be over several days. The slot can be any amount of time, ie. 10:15-10:30, a 15min slot.
The idea for the slots are: when a student logs in, the person must be able to choose a slot that suits him/her. Then, of course the slot should be unavailable for anybody else. An email should be sent to the student and lecturer verifying the booking.
The lecturer should also be able to see which group booked which session and should be able to change it. Example: a group wants to swap their slot with another, then the lecture should be able to do this.
And lastly, all the booking information etc. should be saved in a mySQL database. There is also a "board" where the bookings should show.
I have the file and the SQL database and can send it if you like.
