Project Description:
I have a site in development thats a customized version of Wordpress(PHP) with a MySQL DB. The site is about 90% coded, but Im experiencing problems with query performance. The DB has about a million records and is updated via scripts that pull .csv delta updates from an ftp site and insert or update the database daily. Those script queries are slow and eat up to much cpu. Also the site itself takes too long to load because of slow queries. I need a MySQL DBA that knows PHP to help optimize the queries. I wrote the queries myself, they work, but I dont have a lot of experience with database admin and want to bring in a pro. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
