Hi,
We are looking for a backend that we can add many templated fronts too. We have chosen oscommerce because of this. It was also chosen because we want to upload content via excel/csv files.
What we need is a backend fully loaded with contributions that we would require (your experience here is required) and then we will either buy the templates from oscommercecafe.com or from freeoscommerce.com using the Simple Template System (STS) or somewhere from your sugesstion.
So the bottom line is we want a backend that we can use on many sites. Just change the admin details. Each website will have different content and front end but the same backend structure.
Not really a big job but we will need support in the future.
