I need to build an automated twitter feed for my website printersauction. As it is an auction site new products are constantly being upload and twitter feed is a great way for customers to find out about products they are interested in.
We need 3 fully automated twitter feeds that push AUTOMATICALLY creates and pushes tweets of the new products for auction when the products are upload into the websites mysql database.
Products are loaded into three high level categories Fine Paper, Graphic Supplies and Sign & Display through a batch uploader. Each category has a dedicated twitter feed and there is one primary feed for the whole site. The primary twitter account is hooked up to Hootsuite along with the company FB, Linkedin and Tumblr account (I am open into any suggestions that can optimize this with an open source solution rather than Hootsuite.
We are encouraging clients to follow the twitter feeds rather than have to push emails to them constantly. As printers they work in a production environment and will not always be at their desk so they will want the alert functionality that a tweet can provide them.
