We're looking for a well qualified dev to build a database for us.
-It will be an attempt to get a "one view of our customers", meaning data from multiple sources pulled into one solitary place.
-Customer information comes from many sources. The easiest source is transactional, from a point of sale. Other sources involve loyalty programs, custom web forms, mail chimp, etc etc.
-We want the software to automate the import and management as much as possible. We'll identify the various sources of data (10 or so) and create a master structure field list and relationships. The software would give us the ability to map fields for each input source, creating templates for each source. Multiple templates can be used.
-Software, using the above templates, will routinely scan for new data and synchronize/import.
-data must be able to be exported, which again, will allow us to select output type (CSV or MSDOS tab delimited, usually) and which fields to include, all in a template. The export process would happen automatically after the nightly import process
-the database must be portable, meaning we could keep it in dropbox and open it from any location (single user access only required)
-the number of records are estimated to be the following: number of patient records: 5-10k, transactions 50-300 daily, products 5-10k.
-there must be a query form where we can search for recordsets based on criteria (age > 14 AND gender=female, age between 50 and 65, etc etc)
-there must be a form where an individual customer can be opened to see the other table contents (sort of like an order system)
Looking for people with experience with this software. I MUST see previous examples/portfolio of similar work.
I will clarify as I get questions. I am currently gathering the data exports from the varied sources, so I'll have a better picture of specific needs shortly.
