I am an online drop ship seller doing decent volume. I receive orders via CSV file, usually one per day with as many as hundreds of individual orders. This file has all needed info, including box size, weight, so on. I currently create UPS labels using CSV batch process, save each of these as PDF then email each order to the appropriate supplier one at a time. I would like to create a process that does the following:
1- Uses info in CSV order file, this file is flexible, I can change, manipulate as needed. Contains order number, item ordered, customer ship to info, box size, QTY so on. Can add more info if needed very easily.
2- Use UPS API to generate UPS label on specified UPS account (same every time) and generate PDF label. Would be great if it could place the label on the bottom half of an 8.5 x 11 paper so that it could be printed on label paper UPS supplies. I can provide a example of this. Would have to specify value for UPS ref 1 and ref 2. Would be even better if the top half could be my branded generic packing slip, top half would be the same for every order without needing to have specific customer info.
3-Send an email to the appropriate supplier. This email address can be specified in the CSV order file or other way. This email would have a simple subject with the order number, message body showing customer ship to address, part# they ordered and QTY. Attach PDF UPS label and send.
4-Would be great but not necessary to generate end of day excel report showing items shipped with tracking number.
Would love to have web based access to the process so can access from remote locations. Would be ok though if file process resided on local computer. Can provide samples of the referenced file upon request.
