We want to develop an “online” version of our Service Flat Rate Guide. The guide is for the Electrical/Plumbing/Heating contractors industry as an aide to pricing services.
Essentially there are price levels based on the hours a job takes plus the desired materials/parts margin.
So we will need the ability to set an hourly rate and a percentage materials/parts margin. And to create service maintenance plan options.
Parts of the Flat Rate Guide the user can customize/edit:
(NOTE: an original default data entry is kept as a backup for user to revert to on all user customizations of this application)
The Title of the flat rate guide will be editable
All images used in the guide will be editable including a "No Image" option for ea. image holder
During initial setup the user will be asked for their: Name of Company, Address, City, State/Region, Zip/Postal Code (this data will be available to edit)
Generate a Bing Map based on this data with ability to create pdf for print.
Ability to add/edit/delete users of this application with permissions to add jobs and options as the default: Employee First Name, Last Name, Phone, Email, Pager, Permissions
Users will have:
(* images can be uploaded for each category/subcategory/option)
Ability to create job categories: i.e. Heating, Hydronic, Cooling, Plumbing, Drain, Equipment.
Ability to create job sub-categories: i.e. Ignition, Air Movement, Combustion Removal.
Ability to create job options: i.e. Ignitor, Gas Valve etc. each option will have a Price Level attached. See below.
Ability to enter factors that create each price level.
Two factors are necessary - 1. Enter Hourly Rate 2. Enter Desired Parts Margin (Parts margin is hourly Rate/recipricol of desired margin) Example: $250 hourly rate / 30% desired parts margin would be $250/.70 = 357.14 - $250 in labor and $107.14 in parts
Ability to create a chart of Price Levels
A=.5 hours E= 1.00 hours (Follow formula to create price for labor and parts)
Ability to attach data to each option
i.e. Gas Valve = Level E meaning follow formula for 1 hour of labor
Ability to compile an option presentation sheet with six unique offerings - We need the ability to check or uncheck (drag and drop) above options into this presentation sheet.
presentation sheet : Premium - Sub Premium - Midrange - Sub-midrange - Economy - Sub-Economy
On the 26 Level Price Pages here is the formula... (See attached Spreadsheet)
1. Enter Hourly rate: ex: $250
2. Enter the parts margin of the total repair: 25%
3. Each repair level A thru Z has labor hours attached to them.
Formula: Each Level Price has different hours assigned to it for instance, level E would have ONE hour in labor figured in to it - so under the letter E would say code: E0100 - 0083(1 hour and $83 in parts - Here is how that was figured...
$250 x 1 hour = $250 This is divided by .75 (recipricol or 25%) = $333 Planned Service Price (for those on the preffered service program) - $250 labor & $83 in parts> CODE - E0100 - 0083
To figure regular price take the answer above ($333) divided by .85 to give you a 15% margin to raise this price. $333 divided by .15 = $392
To figure premium price (commercial work or overtime) take the answer above ($392) divided by .85 to give you a 15% margin to raise this price. $392 divided by .15 = $461
This is how the prices are figured
