I would like to have a simple minimalistic "working example" of a software licensing/activation scheme built, specifically using WooCommerce for Wordpress to manage software licensing and activation of a C++ software application created in the Qt IDE
I would like the "working example" Qt application to be very simple...think "Hello world" with an installer.
~ I can and will provide a working Qt project which builds installers for Windows (*.exe) and Ubuntu/Debian-based Linux (*.deb).
~ I would like you to take this example (optionally you can build your own example application, your call) and integrate product activation
~ You are responsible for adding the "license activation" parts to the application.
1.) User purchases software on the WooCommerce web store
2.) User receives an email containing a download link and a License Key
3.) User downloads software for the appropriate OS (WIndows 7 and Ubuntu)
4.) User runs the installer (example.exe or example.deb, as appropriate)
5.) The installer prompts the user to enter his or her License Key
6.) The installer handles sending the License Key, along with some basic hardware hash/ID, to the Online Store/Activation server
7.) The Activation Server responds with either a new Activation code or an error message (i.e. "No activations remaining, please contact customer support")
8.) If an error message is received, the installer should display the error and not install anything.
9.) If an Activation Code has been received, the installer should successfully install the software.
10.) Once installed, the software should literally have a window that says "Congratulations, you are activated!"
~ Qt Application must run and successfully activate in Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
~ DO NOT include any time in your price to make this "pretty". This project is 100% a functional demo, I am not concerned with aesthetics at this point.
~ I will provide a fresh Wordpress Installation and will purchase the $99 "Software Add-On" for WooCommerce. You must do the rest.
~ Once this basic job is complete, we can start filling in details in future projects.
