I have a Phase One Project for a proof of concept. It involves PHP programming in conjunction with MySQL database. At this point, all I need is some working front end code, not a website. I am not familiar with sending, receiving emails in PHP. I may contract more PHP work in the future.
When a Customer registers, then logs in to the site, he adds some data to the Database. I have the tables completed with data included.
The Phase One Program uses the Customer registration data to send an email to the Customer at a specific time a every day (Customer Schedule).
When the Customer receives the email, he hit's reply and sends it back to me and is identified by the Phase One program.
When he signed up he also added a Recipient to his data.
I need a program that will send one a day emails to the Customer based on the Customer Schedule time.
The subject line will include the Client name and ID number.
The Customer will respond to the email by replying without any changes.
The Phase One program will read incoming email data from the Customer email reply subject line.
If a Customer Email is received prior to the Customer Response time, nothing.
If a Customer Email is received after the Customer Response time, a Recipient Schedule time is activated.
If a Customer Email is received before Recipient Schedule time is reached, the Recipient email is cancelled.
If a Customer Email is not received before Recipient Schedule time is reached, the Recipient email is sent.
then schedule a Customer email for the following day.
For the test, there will be 3 Customers in the database, each with one recipient.
All Customers will have the identical test email address.
All Recipients will have identical test email addresses.
The front end will have a Start and Go button.
When I hit the Start button, I want a window so I can change some Data in the Database for each Client and each Recipient. The Go button will begin the sequence of events.
The Recipient subject line will include the Client name and ID number and text from the Customer database in the body.
Customer Schedule time - one minute from Go
Customer Response time - deadline for response, - two minutes from Go
Recipient Schedule time - three minutes from Go.
Program end time - four minutes from Go
