What we are trying to accomplish is a new and easy way for foundations and charities to fund raise. In short we have stores that will be offering discounts to be printed on the backs of these discount cards people can then go to our site, design the front of their cards, we print and ship and then they go out and sell these cards for a profit for their fundraiser.
We need a "card creator" website that will be able to allow people to design cards, then where we can download those cards to be sent to a plastic printer.
The cards will be the size of a standard credit card. (3 ⅜ × 2 ⅛ in (85.60 × 53.98 mm). Actual design area of the cards will need to be slightly larger to allow for bleed when printing, or maybe we just add trim to the card. One concern we have is about resolution and people not knowing the difference between web and print.
We currently have a site that has not been completed. We are looking for a programmer who can complete the site and/or make any modifications that are necessary and add the PalPal feature. We then want the ability for other charities or fundraisers to also be able to log-in and create and design their own sub-domain site under the main keeping the same "template feel" so they can sell cards on their "site" as well. They will need to be able to customize their "page" and will need individual admin sections, so when others sign up, they will be able to keep their cards and their orders separate. Again, much of this is already done but modifications may be necessary. The site MUST be user friendly. You can see our current site at www.kidcancercards.com or www.KaylasCards.org
The card designer we have now is not exactly what we want as it has a few flaws. A “what you see is what you get” feature for all card design, printing and site design is more what we are looking for.
We will need an easy to down load feature for sending cards to the printer being able to keep each sub-domain separate and knowing which cards have been printed and which cards have not. We will need to use a PayPal account where all payments for the cards on all accounts are paid to the main site or the Kid Cancer Foundation. The card creator and all functions need to be very easy and simple to use.
