This is an application that allows a homeowner (consumer) to register on our site and then request a bid for work to be done on their home. When they complete a bid request they select the type of
work to be done. The application sends the bid requests to contractors who do that type of work. In addition to doing that type of work, contractors must be nearby. Obviously they can not go to a
distant location to perform the work, so when the contractor registers, they identify up to 5 work categories and up to 5 zip codes they will service. The app checks the zip of the consumer agains
the zips that the contractor idtentifies. This ensures contractors will be notified if a consumer needs work they are qualified to do, in an area that they service. They must match both the service
type AND the zip location in order to receive a bid notice.
Contractors receive a notice in their email and login to their account to respond to the consumer. They may submit a bid or request more information. They don't know who the consumer is nor have a
way to contact the consumer directly. Thus protecting the anonymity of the consumer.
Consumers receive a notice in their email when a contractor responds or send a bid. They log into their account to view the responses.
Both contractors and consumers can review and reply to each other's comments. Each time they respond, notice is sent to the person they responded to.
Consumers can award bid to a contractor.
I have created a spreadsheet with test scenarios and also have a list of items that should be functional.
I am looking for people who are smart enough to see how this should work and take initiative to check on things even if they are not in the scenario and advise on anything they see as a functional
or usability issue. There will be more work for the most diligent testers.
