we are a manufacturing facility in the screen print business. We process 30-40 custom orders a day with hand drawn art, different products, different print placement, each and every order ends up being "touched" by 3-5 employees. Part of the process requires contact with the customer and chances to the art work. There are 20-30 specific changes to each order requiring constant updating so that when the order gets to the production and printing all the changes have been made and the order is in fact ready to print. An example the art maybe changed 2-3 times, sizes changed even products. We seek a way to have the order move through the process so that each change is recorded and the work accurate when it reaches the press.
There are a number of steps that are constant: review of the initial order for accuracy and acceptability. As an example we can't print dark colors on a dark shirt. Some garments will not take a full chest imprint: hooded sweatshirts have a smaller print area due to the pocket on the front.
Most likely need a work order that would force the fields to be entered properly. The next step would be to write the soft ware that would move the order through the exact steps in order.
