I have an executable program with a short source code written in VB6 which runs on all 32 bit windows OSs including 32 bit Windows 7. One CSV file and Several RTF files are uploaded to the resource folder of the code. The exe file runs perfectly on all win 32 bit OS. However, the program does not run on 64 bit Windows 7, it gives an error related to the "RICHTX32.OCX" being incompatible or missing.
I want to upgrade the code so the exe file can run on both window 32 bit and 64 bit.
Also, the vb6 code includes a module (a sub) that should register (store) the computer’s serial number the first time the executable file is run on the computer. The purpose of this module is to prevent the executable file from running on another computer, i.e; prevent illegal copying of the program. The problem is that this module is not functioning properly in vb6 and I would like for it to be functional in the upgraded code and the VB6 code. The vb6 executable runs perfectly even though that module is not doing its job. The programmer is free to make whatever changes are necessary to make both versions (the vb6 and the upgrade) compile and run error free. I believe that it won’t take more than one to two hours from a proficient programmer to make this conversion especially that most of the syntax will be the same.
Please, bid only if you are proficient in English and know the VB language very well.
