Cruise Booking Web Portal
The web portal is geared for specific admin advertised cruises and not GDS connected.
Portal will need to be able to store admin managed common information on cruise line, ships, ports of call, on board amenities.
Create bookable cruise ad with user friendly GUI to enter cruise description, number of rooms available per category, price per person, port charges, add selectable information from common cruise information.
Collect passenger information creating a reservation. Deduct from available cabins in booked category (admin set).
Collect credit card information, but not process the information.
Allow customer to share with others that they are booked on the cruise. A separate page will display those booked on a particular cruise.
Must be able to allow additional installment payments (frequency options set by admin) and deduct from total, and apply when manually processed, notifying the customer via email.
Deposits on cruises set by admin unique to each cruise.
Allow customers to look up their reservation, add or edit passenger information, change payment information.
Submit requests related to cabin selection, special services, payments.
System must be able to send confirmations of payments, show orders, payment history, payment reminders.
Allow admin create pages such as Terms of Use, Policies, contact us.
search Cruises by month. year, destination, cruise lines, price range, port, length
create reports, by cruise, cruise line, payment history, manifests.
Mail capabilities to all on particular cruise, all registered users with opt out for non reservation emails via link in emails and sign up. Provide a page to compose and send newsletters.
Allow for multiple admin users
For concept layout and booking flow ideas please visit carnival.com or travelocity.com/Cruises. Since the portal is not GDS driven all advertised cruises must be entered via a user friendly GUI.
Portal must be able to detect mobile devices. All web pages must have a easy mobile friendly GUI.
