Project Description:
Hi,
we host an eCommerce site with a company that is totally incompetent and have asked someone to redesign the site. He is almost finished but needs someone to take over in putting the finishing touches to the site.
Our new website can be found at: www.aboutagirl.com/index.php (www.aboutagirl.com directs users to the old site for the moment)
The site has been designed using PrestaShop with the Black & White theme. Prestashop uses PHP (Smarty) and most of the overall design has already been finished, we are just missing some content like Terms & Conditions and Delivery information, etc which our designer can do in the meantime whiel the rest of the site is being completed.
We require someone to add the EWAY payment module for PrestaShop (the module is $75 and will be bought by us) as well as the setup of Paypal (API?) which doesn't redirect the customer away from the site if this is possible. The paypal modules are already featured in the PrestaShop site. We also require an SSL certificate (which we will also provide) for the usage of the EWAY module which also needs to be installed properly.
We'd also like some advice as to the web hosting demands for a site this small/large. According to Google Analytics, we receive about 1000 visitors per day on an average day and up to 2000 on a busy day but these numbers are growing. We are currently hosting the new site with HostGator VPS Level 3 servers and would need professional advice as to whether this would be an ideal solution for an Australian eCommerce site. Our current designer is a bit overwhelmed by the WHM application that is used on VPS Servers by HostGator, in particular the accurate setup of this server to be safe, secure and most importantly, stable.
The majority of our database has already been moved to the new site including products and customers, we just require someone to update all the product levels to accurately represent our stock levels as these are displayed in a different table and can not be imported via PrestaShop's admin area.
Once the site is ready, we'd need some help as to how to make the transition for our users to the new site as painless as possible (possibly 301 redirects?).
There is also one bug that needs to be fixed, which is when customers log in and go through their "My Account" section, depending on which tab they are located, sometimes the voucher tab disappears and only reappears when going back to the home page of the customers account.
I think that about covers all the tasks required, it isn't a huge job and most of the initial work has already been handled. We are open to suggestions and any help is greatly appreciated.
