Project Description:

The site is a social network with focus in EVENTS AND PLACES TO GO.

The site must be *super easy to use* and *fast* which means that ajax is a must.

The site will be multilanguage and the language files will be stored separately. The user can choose which language to use, but a default language is selected.

You can use a prior developed social network or open source developments like Elgg or Drupal to work upon.

EVENTS & PLACES features
This is an agenda of Events and Places. The home must also show the events that are on TODAY.
Events can be searched by different methods (date, keyword, category, place, distance, etc)
There are different categories of Events (Art, Films, Party, etc) and different categories of Places (Restaurants, clubs, etc). There are different fields depending the category the event or place is located in. Public or private events. Events/Places can be located in a Map (Google/Yahoo api)
There's two views of the same page a simple and a more advanced page that contains more info on the event. The same to add the data.
The user may note that he wants to go to certain place/event, and that will be noted in his profile. Any user can see where his friends want to go. A user can note that he went to certain event. Users can send invites to events/places, I'll attend, Not sure, No feature.
Users can review events and places. Events/Places can be rated and commented. Faveorite feature.


Facebook.com features
- Customizable \"Home\" page that shows fresh updated content as it is created by users and \"friends\".
- User \"Wall\" to journal all posts that take place between users, as well as the ability to provide a \"status\" update (What are you doing right now).
- Profile information that includes (Basic Information, Personal Information, Contact Information, Education and Work Information).
- Customizable Account and Privacy Settings that allow users to control user access.
- Photos and the ability to create photo albums and profile pictures that can be changed. Videos can be fetch from Youtube
- \"Friends\" functionality and the ability to \"Message\", \"Add\", and \"View\" the friends of other users
- \"Inbox\" and \"Online Friends\" messaging functionality.
- \"Groups\" - Users need to be able to add/join/create groups.
- \"Comments\" - Users need to be able to post a comments directly to any post or picture.
- \"Invites\" - Invitations are send via scrapping addresses from the popula mail systems.

Advertising features
Users can advertise in the site via banners, video, custom or text ads, Google Adsense. Ads can target certain categories or keywords, CPC and CPM. Users can pay through Paypal and other Networks.
Track impression & clicks, Ads display set-up, detailed reporting tools, suspend/modify/delete ads, HTML Code generator, IP tracking for security and Accurate CTR and CPM.
