Project abstract: This project requires building a website that the public can access; a members-only section of the website; a database that can be added to and accessed by paying members; and an API integration for a mobile app to submit information to the database for member use.
The publicly accessible website will be 1-4 pages and serve primarily to host a landing page and a help page.
The members-only part of the website will collect user-added information that is manually entered. It will be able to access data (times and dates) and compile them into reports for the user.
The database will record data entries that include times, dates, user identification, and notes manually created by the user. It will also be able to receive, store and retrieve images for the user. Each image will have keyed metadata that associates it with a data entry in the database, so that accessing a particular date will also show time of day and associated notes and images.
The API integration requires the website/database/server to be able to accept information sent securely by a mobile device and store it in the database. It will also collect images taken with users' phones and tag them with appropriate metadata. Mobile app development will be handled separately by another contractor. The API information will likely not be sent any more than once per hour.
The database should be able to handle 100-10,000 queries per day. We expect a low load of information being uploaded and accessed on the database.
Software will be developed with performance benchmarks; we will not accept a product that functions slowly. We want clean coders.
The choice of software, hardware and hosting will be left to the contractor; write in a programming language that you feel comfortable with. This project will change over time and we are only interested in contractors who want a continuing steady business relationship.
The project will pay upon completion of specified milestones.
Interested parties should submit a bid of interest and a request for more information if they require it. A detailed project spec is already written and will be delivered to the winning bidder.
