My team is looking to hire a web developer who is familiar with "www.reddit.com" and it's source code (which is available for free under the GNU GPL license).
What we need done:
- Freelancer must be able to create and install a working "reddit.com" clone or "lesswrong.com", which is based off the reddit code(both sites have easy 30 minute installation guides that create a exact copy for the respective site .
- The layout must then be graphically customized towards a look that fits our niche market. (Such as a car, or computer news site.)
- A few minor changes in the navigation bar, implementation of pre-made plugins will be needed and can further be discussed in private.
Should your bid be accepted and your deliverable be acceptable, we can discuss the possibility of hiring you full time for the web sites maintenance.
It is not enough for you to be able to create the reddit clone, as this requires little effort due to the automated install script and various installation/ help guides. Our team is looking for someone who has the basic coding knowledge to do so while having the strong artistic ability to adapt this source code into an appealing news aggregation site that fits our demographic.
No bids will be accepted without ample proof of your advanced graphical ability and basic coding.
