Project Description:
We want to launch a beta website/ online gallery in order to understand our market better. We are looking for someone to design a skin or front end design which will showcase all artworks from our gallery. We do not need back end userbility at the moment. For now we are only concerned with the design and in particular the artwork display.
We will have 15 artists to start with and they will each show 10 works so 150 works on the website to start. We do not want the pictures displayed as cropped jpegs instead we want a feeling of the painting as an object. Look at attachment. The site will serve as a catalogue. Look at www.Messums.co.uk. We want high quality display with zoom features like Messums
The artworks will be for sale so it would be amazing put this skin on e-commerce software. I have attached a website design we have made! We are going for a minimal clean look. Other references include Mrporter.com and Artfinder.com
Again the running of the gallery does not need to function on the site at this stage. We just want a front end skin. Backend will be organised manually by us.
