I am looking to redesign my food blog which is currently on the Drupal Gardens platform.
As a priority, I need someone who is excellent at information architecture and can create a simple, usable design. I want to keep the existing logo and overall color scheme, with some input from the developer as how to improve it. Also, you should be able to use drupal gardens and explain to me how you organized the info so I can maintain it afterwards.
I am looking to make the website more usable, and to edit the hierarchy of the pages which is a little bit confused right now.
The changes which I need done include:
Change the format of the posts both on the front page and the recipe pages to make one large picture (most recent post) and then a smaller image size for the remaining 4-8 posts in the feed and include a pinterest and facebook share button overlaying the picture. Also, change the size and position of the titles and make it read clearer.
Add a scrolling store button on the side of each post.
Redesign the recipe search page to make it more user friendly
Add google translate to make the pages accessible in different languages.
Re-organize the hierarchy of the pages without affecting SEO-there are about 20 recipes - and 10 ingredient pages
The photos are too large of a file size and take too long too load. Maybe you know an easy way to solve this problem other than uploading them all again at a smaller resolution.
I want all the corners to be rounded and also the photo corners to be rounded.
There are small things on the page which also need to be fixed- such as the CSS, editing the footer, some link and background colors/fonts need to be changed.
For someone who has decent skills in drupal gardens it shouldn't be too involved because there is not that much content overall. Up until now,I have been doing everything myself but I have become frustrated with some small things which I don't know how to change.
The site http://www.theyummylife.com/ is an inspiration for the project in regards to the blog structure.
