Project Description:
Our vision is for SLYYD.com to be a virtual concierge service; a targeted and personality based discovery-advertising platform. User input data (entered manually by the user) is used to create a certain profile for the user in the backend database, utilizing tag-words. This way, we can recognize the types of personalities and their likes and dislikes that use SLYYD. Nightlife businesses such as clubs and bars on the other hand upload information about special events, deals as well as photo advertising. These images and events are also tagged certain words. When users search for such events, deals and advertising on the Zine page, those business inputs that have tags in common with the user will appear. From here, the user can choose to invite friends from Facebook to the event, deal or advertisement. A notification will be sent to their friends’ Facebook profiles that they have been invited by the user through SLYYD. Users can also flag certain advertising so that it does not appear again.
