Project Description:
I would like a clone of the internship website internships.com (and a clone of its functionality / database capability), with additional sidebars / spacing / administration capabilities for advertisements (such as internweb.com). I would like this to be as close to a direct clone in terms of functionality & features as possible.
Additionally, I would like this to be included with a project management functionality, such as the open source projectpier (within our domain). Ideally the employer would be able to log on and view all of their employees (as well as the projects they are working on and feedback / ratings) within this interface.
Ideally I would like the site to be as easy to administer and update as possible, with as much automated capability. I would expect there to be follow-on or consulting engagements available to the developer, if you would like.
The following would be the workflow of the website:
Students (pre-selection):
-Students will register in the website or login, if already registered. This should also include a 'forgotten password' functionality
-Students upload a resume and create a profile
-Students have access to use a Resume Builder tool
-Students can search the website based on keyword / location / paid or unpaid internship status / whether the employer has subscribed to the project management system
-Student can select any position to view more information; from this page they can also select 'apply' which prompts them to select or attach a resume and write a cover note / message to the employer. Students can also select to 'save' the job to their homepage
-Students can return to their homepage and see saved jobs / submitted applications, or choose to go to their project management section for a specific employer (which has already selected them)
Student (post-hiring):
-Every student/candidate will have their personalized portfolio
- Once they are hired for an internship, their account would be associated with the Employer who hired them
-Student will be added as member associated with specific employer and get access to task list added by employer. Student can comment on tasks and milestones, download / upload files, message with employer
Employer:
-Employer will register in the website or login, if already registered
-The employer is prompted to sign up for a paid project management service – if they select to do so, they are taken to a transaction processing page where they can input payment details, after which they can go to the posting section. If they opt out of the project management service, they are taken to the posting section
-The employer can also opt to become a featured employer (which integrates with a transaction processing / payment gateway)
- The employer will post the job vacancy
-The employer can later login to their personalized profile / portfolio, and view submitted candidates ' resumes. Here they have the option to select a candidate, flag a candidate for future review, close the posting, or sign up for the project management system
-The employer should be able to view student ratings and past reviews (if the student opts in)
-Alternately, the employer can search for candidates using a search / advanced search function, where they can express interest and
Employer Project Management system:
-Employer should have landing page with all 'current' students which they are managing
-Employer can add tasks, set milestones, add files, add tags, add forms details and assign task to student
-Employer can put their feedback, comments, rating and flag like/unlike them
