We require a Moodle expert to configure our Moodle installation to our specifications and document all configurations made. We prefer bidders in India however bidders from other countries are also welcome.
Our Moodle setup should have the following users:
-Technical Administrator (Highest level of administration)
The Technical Administrator must able to administer any part of the system and should be allowed all rights to do so.
The Student/Staff Administrator must be able to bulk enrol staff into the system. Each student is enrolled in a course were each course has multiple subjects. The Student/Staff Administrator should be able to disable student accounts if a student leaves or is expelled from the institution.
The Course Co-ordinator is able to create/modify courses and categories. For example we may have an Engineering faculty which offers the following courses:
- Software Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
A course will have multiple subjects and also courses may have multiple subjects in common. For example we may have subjects such as "Mathematics 101" where all Engineering students are required complete this subject. We would like our installation setup with the above courses and several example subjects to demonstrate this principle.
The Course Co-ordinator must be able to assign teachers to subjects. One teacher may be assigned to one or more subjects. The subjects may be in any course.
The teacher must be able to upload teaching material for students to view and download. Materials may include Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, PDF files and any other file. The teacher must be able to add announcements on Moodle so that all students enrolled in the subject can see them. The teacher must be able to send bulk emails to all the students enrolled in the subject. The teacher should not be allowed to send emails to students in other subjects that the teacher is not assigned to.
The students should only be able to view material in the subjects that they have been enrolled in. A student must not be allowed to self enrol in a subject. The course co-ordinator is responsible to enrol the students into subjects and thus must be able to do so.
Students should be able to view their own grades and only teachers should be able to edit them.
We also require a timetable feature where the course co-ordinator can create the class timetable for a subject where the teacher and students enrolled in this subject can view it.
We also require documentation detailing how the configuration was done so it can be repeated in the future.

This project requires experience with Moodle. We may require ongoing maintenance, support and advice on this project in the future so there may be future project work available for the suitable contractor. We may contact suitable bidders by IM to verify their expertise. We are using Moodle 2.1 and will release the admin details of our Moodle installation once the project has been awarded.

The documentation required for this project must be adequate enough to be able to reproduce the configuration steps that were made to our installation. We will double check and run the procedures in the document to ensure that the configuration stated in the documentation actually works.
