The project is to design a petition site. Two good examples of petition sites are: change.org and causes.com
These however are large websites that can host several petitions and allow their users to create their own petitions.
However, I want my website to only host one petition. So features such as (categories, create a petition, etc are not needed)
It is still however useful to use these two examples to describe all the features I want.
I link the simple design of the change.org petition page (eg. http://www.change.org/en-CA/petitions/premier-clark-don-t-give-away-our-fresh-water-for-fracking)
but I like the social and usability of the cause.com petition page (eg. http://www.causes.com/actions/1724723-challenge-japan-to-end-taiji-dolphin-hunt-for-tokyo-2020-olympic-bid?ctm=browse)
So I'll start with the charge.org page and tell you all the things that need to be changed.
I like their design, but please don't simple copy it. Be creative and create a nice clean design like it.
Keep all the features the same except the things I will tell you to change below:
1) Remove street address, country and postal code from the sign form.
2) Once they click sign it will behave like the sign form on causes.com (i.e. ask them to login to facebook, to sign the petition)
After which it will behave like causes.com and show them a list of their friends and ask them to share it with their friends. (The same features and display style as causes is what I want). The only difference is, I want to pre-selected names to be only their friends from Canada.
3) In addition I would also like the social share buttons from causes.com and the facebook comments included.
Other general points to keep in mind:
a) The site should be a responsive web design.
b) Should validate without errors on http://validator.w3.org
c) You should test the system thoroughly before delivering it to me.
d) There maybe a few aesthetic changes required
That should be all.
