A Professional Social Networking & Collaboration Site
The site is through design and realisation stage, but having problems with the web developers at build phase. They have had the site at build stage for a year, and I still dont have anything even suitable to test yet, and the original designs have been changed, and they have given me something that is not fit for purpose.
I already run another business, so do not have the time to micro manage the web developers, making sure they are running to plan, collecting status, and holding them responsible, checking that what they are creating is actually to scope, and manage all communcation.
I need a PM I trust who has va background experience in managing Social Networking Site projects, because a lot of the problems I am facing is that they do not understand the Social Network concept (they for example put in a 'Follow' button instead of a 'Connect' button, not understanding the fundamental difference!!).
The PM I choose will also need experience of social platforms which are integrated with facebook (the back end is integrated), and they will need to understand code, and can check that code is well written. An interest in the Arts is a bonus, as this will help you to understand the user more.
Basically I want to leave this to a PM, have regular status updates from the PM, and have a clear understanding of where the project is at any given moment (by keeping updated documents in a centalised system), I want that PM to get the developers to commit to an agreed end date, and that PM will share a responsibilty to get to that end date also.
I need to kick start the project which I have put on hold, and I need someone to hit the ground running.
This can be done part time to begin with, as it is not a large project, but the successful candidate, if they perform well, will continue to be involved, as I will need someone to manage it post launch. I think 8 hours a week to begin with (4+4), and I will put some strict performace criteria in in the first week, and if this is not met, then I will have to hire an alternative candidate.
Aside from the serious stuff, this is an exciting project and I hope to find someone that can stick around.
