We are looking for a developer to put together a customised Website Content Management System. This system will be used for a demo so it can be from a system the developer has already designed, from existing scripts or open-source code from the internet.
There are two styles/themes required for the system, the first is a blog and the 2nd style/theme is a basic e-commerce shop. As this is for demonstration purposes the content only needs to be very basic.
The main focus of this CMS is on the functionality (whether hand-coded or from pre-written script) is to let a admin of a page to view and edit existing pages, add content or save changes and then publish those changes live to the website via a WYSIWYG interface. Ideally, the navigational elements of the web-page should be editable too (e.g. swapping around tabbed navigation/sidebars e.t.c).
You will need to:
1. Be able to easily communicate in ENGLISH.
2. Write clean, COMMENTED code,
3. Be easily contactable by email
4. Complete all work within a 8-10 day period, including basic testing but excluding any minor modifications.
We require basic functions such as the ability to:
- Allow a admin to login and ADD/REMOVE/EDIT; NEWS ARTICLES or PRODUCTS.
- Allow users to post comments on said articles (in the case of the blog template) or products (in the case of the e-commerce/shop template)
- A simple way to upload files to their site, such as photos, media, PDF and documentations, that they can then easily add/edit to the page.
- Allow for sharing of articles on Facebook, Twitter, (e.g. one click sharing from articles/posts)
- Tagging capability to be used comprehensively throughout the site
- Optional: Implement a separate image light-box (pre-made script) for their galleries
Ideally, You should make, clean, COMMENTED, bespoke code and a user friendly way to implement the required functions.
I have also included the following links to EXISTING CMS systems that use some of the ideas that I want this demo to include, and should give you a rough of how the the final project shouldn't work (it doesn't need to be exact copies of these CMS's but I would like the interface to be similar).
Please view the following demo’s before placing your bids on this project so you feel comfortable with what is required:
Unity CMS (demo) - http://unify.unitinteractive.com/demo.php
Aloha CMS (content demo) - http://aloha-editor.org/demos/960-fluid-demo/
Aloha CMS (homepage demo) http://aloha-editor.org/demos/aloha-world-example/
GPeasy (admin/homepage demo) - http://gpeasy.com/Demo
In your bids you should ideally mention:
1- Your background and experience as well as skill level in various programs/languages.
2- A accurate estimate of the time it will take you to complete the project (be honest)
3- Your competitive price and breakdown of the task.
4- Anything you've coded in the past that's similar to the above project.
We always have new things coming up and we could consider and have a long term contract for development work with a decent developer.
We need this project completed by the 2ND-3RD AUGUST even though we've already included existing code for the successful bidder we estimate this project will require 18-20 hours maximum and we are happy to pay up $22/ hour so approximately $350-400 maximum budget depending on the quality of your work and the time-frame promised which we feel is reasonable considering not all functions need to be hand-coded and can be copied from scripts.
We would consider a higher rate for a quicker completion time and a exceptional portfolio otherwise for any other questions please message us before bidding.
We have actually posted this project previously on freelancer.com before but due to communication problems the end result DID NOT COMPLETE so please read all the above and view the above demos and please message me if you have ANY QUESTIONS.

I have now attached the code that was done for us previously, it contains a lot of the functionality we require.

This is the closest demo to what we require:
Ideally we need something along the lines of the above with regards to how the user is able to edit the page (the WYSIWYG style)
