About US

We are a long established training provider specialising in the UK Security market.

Our domain name has been live on the net since 1999.

Our current website was built in 2006 www.dsto.co.uk


What we know

Our website is out-of-date and in desperate need of overhaul and modernisation

Our website does not display correctly on various search engine platforms

Though we started training online in 1999 our young competitors (very small market place in the UK) have overtaken us and captured the majority of our market place using their experience, expertise of web development and SEO (Not industry experience and recommendation).

We have a great reputation and are very experienced in the subject matter, most would say, far better than our competitors but with their expertise in web design and SEO we are quickly getting pushed out of our own game.


What we have

Our website has e-commerce where customers can book and pay online. We wish to continue using our current service provider for e-commerce and require the new website to be able to easily link in with this.

We currently use a hosting company that looks after our website and emails. They have also performed both minor and major modifications to our current website.

Our current hosting (part time web design) provider specialises in programming and software issues rather than web design and SEO. Though we are happy for our provider to continue hosting our website and emails, we understand that it may be better to allow a new company to take on this role that specialises in both SEO friendly web design as well as optimisation of the site. Therefore this project may involve absolutely everything including uploading website onto our server space.


What we want

A NEW, up-to-date, exciting, non-confusing, modern website to enable customers to browse training courses offered by our company and to purchase these training courses. This is NOT an online training website. The training courses are given live to an audience either at the workplace or at our premises, although a facility for on-line pre-course reading would be needed.

We want a clear, easily-navigable website, with crisp clear design that you would expect from a professional services company.

We want all of the information, features and capabilities that our current website offers including our current ability to update and change a large amount of content ourselves.

Currently we can update:

• Course information on the home page as well as load new courses

• Course dates, prices, venues & specific details, locations

• Load pdf/PPP/word documents onto website for learners to view or download


Other features we require:

• A system where we can upload exam results onto our website and learners can log in to view (only their own) results. By way of example see http://www.get-licensed.co.uk/result/

• A secure encrypted area for learners to log in and view specific course content.

• We would be interested to have a course selector dropdown menu.
