Project Description:
This is a "marketplace" that allows customers to find a handyman in any Country, City, Town. (we need admin control over countries listed)
The handyman will have a profile on the site with a bio, images and other content such as video and audio.
The handyman will have a star rating from previous bookings, reviews e.t.c.
The customer will be able to request a quote from a specific handyman or make their job available to all.
Handymen can bid for jobs.
Once hooked up, the handyman will pay a booking deposit to the site and the customer pays him/her directly on commencement/completion of the job.
Key Elements.
- Home Page (need to design layout/theme/CSS e.t.c.) will provide PSD
- Handyman Profile (user accounts) with details and book now button
- Booking system to manage bids/offers, deposits, calendar, notifications & reminders, cancellations and re-distribution of jobs e.t.c.
- Payment processing - deposit payments via Paypal/Realex
- MySQL Database ( we will provide schema but will need flexibility to amend DB tables/fields)
- Search/browse/filtering with layout templates
- General content – articles, photos, video, audio
- Customer accounts
- Newsletter
- Social Media Connectors (FB, Twitter, MSN) with notifications/reminders - customer communication/contact will be important
- Admin/Management
- SEO & PPC (analytics) friendly
This is a pilot which will need to be fine-tuned and managed over time. Most of the above is available in various Drupal modules. We just need somebody to pull it all together and provide the development/design/integration skills.
The site will succeed or fail on its ease of use for both the customer and the "handyman". Customers should be able to find the right guy in a few clicks, read a profile/bio/reviews and simply click to book.
This project will be owner managed so decisions will be direct and quick. This is a partnership which has longterm potential.
