Update existing website - repost

I have a website in Joomla that needs some tweaking! The current photo banner is not showing properly. I'd like to replace the sidebar with a sign up button and report auto responder. I'm ok with the basic design as it is, but if a designer could work better with another template I'm open to changing it. In the near future I will also need a matching newsletter template, logo and other design work so the more skills the better for other work as needed.
