Project Description:
We had a plugin developed for our site but the plugin does not work properly in Safari and Google Chrome. It does work in Firefox.

We have contacted the original developer of the plugin - from Freelancer - however, it seems the developer is either disinterested in fixing the problem, or has too much on his/her plate.

Basically, it's a car search plugin that incorporates 5 dropdown boxes that users can choose from. Each box is dependent on the one above it, except for the first box which simply has two options to select. The rest of them it's a simple matter of Make (eg. Ford), then Model (eg Focus), then Variant (eg. Sport), then country State.

In the back end, we have separate categories from the usual Wordpress system that we select from. These determine how the post will be sorted in regards to searching using dropdown boxes. Each post is a regular post though, and comes up in our normal blog roll at the bottom of the page (performancedrive.com.au).

The problem we are having is with the dropdowns, and their ability to depend on the other selections. Everything works exactly perfect and how it should in Firefox. In Safari and Google Chrome browsers it's not so good. This is what we need fixing.

The problem is all of the options in the dropdowns are available, all the time, in Safari and Chrome. So, for example, if a user just jumps straight down to the 'Model' box without first selecting a 'Make', every model will come up, including Focus, Golf, Mondeo etc. all mixed in. In Firefox, no option can be selected - this is how it should be; users need to first select 'Ford' or whatever, and then the 'Ford' Models should come up in the next dropdown; Focus, Fiesta etc.

The beauty of this fix is that you can see it fully working in Firefox (plugin switched off at the moment), so all that is needed is to get the plugin to mimic how it works in Firefox when users are in Safari and Chrome.

Further questions and images and so on can be requested.
