Project Description:
We have a "functional" Wordpress site built using iThemes (www.scrapwithgretch.com). It has the basic elements of content (built using a zon content builder for Amazon), videos (via another WP plugin), RSS feeds, Social buttons, etc. However, it is U-G-L-Y. We basically just wired up the very basics of the framework without regard to the aesthetics ... and it is not 100% complete as far as that goes (better categorization for posts are desired as well as the items mentioned below). What we seek is a MUCH better look-and-feel / user experience to this site. We would like our contractor to deliver:
1. Some creative - suggestions for a new look and feel with examples.
a.) As far as this goes - we are open but we like the way the categories and shopping experience happen on:
store.scrapbook.com/. We like the way their categories work, the way the items look when you click on them for sale, the way they can tell what has come in within the last 10, 30, 60 days and read the color descriptions of those items (which are also categories, i.e. by color). We like the way you can search their site by brand and that they often seem to have a relevant video for the item that you choose. They have done a nice job with their implementation and we think it would be a great start to somebody's creative for our site.
2. Wire-frames that implement the creative for comments back from us
3. A "final" implementation of the new site.
As part of the project we would also welcome ideas on how to increase the traffic and page rankings of the site.
A successful bidder should be able to demonstrate prior examples of their work and references.
This is a work-for-hire. We would retain all IP rights. We will also require the consultant to sign an agreement to that effect containing usual and customary terms for these types of engagements.
