The ?print industry? is made up of different and merging technologies, (offset, digital, web offset etc). And also segmented in different sectors, (commercial, signage, label, carton etc). Hence it makes it very difficult for the novice to find the right print supplier for the right job, especially on google.
Finding the right Print Supplier;
The purpose of this Web Site is to facilitate the searching of finding the right ?printer? for the particular job needed. Also supplying a secure payment gateway.
?print suppliers? will create an account, and ?radio button? select the type of industry they specialize in, (offset, digital, web offset, commercial, signage, label , packaging, etc).
They would also ?radio button? select the type of jobs they specialize in, (letterhead, banners, folders, boxes, car wraps, magazines etc).
They would also indicated there delivery radius, (maybe by area names or post codes) this will also help select local suppliers.
Suppliers will be required to enter there ?banking details? for the payment gateway, and acknowledge the sites trading terms and conditions.
From this information; we require a search engine to find and narrow down a selection of the best ?printers? to quote on that particulate job.
The end user;
The ?end user?, posts a ?request for quote? function on the site. This will do two things; the first thing it will do is to find a selection of printers who specialize in the requested type of print job. The next thing this does is it asks the user the correct questions for all of the printers to be able to quote on the job; by choosing from ?smart? drop down menus.
