Screenshot Utility to store images in SQL Database

A? screenshot (SS)? utility that resides in the system tray in Windows XP and Vista. The SS utility with support being called by a hot key or via the right mouse click menu on the system tray icon and will capture the current screen. The image(PNG) will then appear and allow the user to annotate on the image. Simple image editing tools will allow arrows, shapes(solid color and transparent fill with colored border)? and text to be added to the screenshot. The user will be prompted for a description and their name. In addition, the SS utility will grab the current user logged into windows and datetime. This information and with a status of 'New'? plus the image will be stored in a SQL Server 2005 (or Express for development). The infomation needs to be encrypted when being sent (or can be encrypted before being sent)? to the SQL Server. The SS utility will not be used to view the images stored in the database. An admin tool be system tray application also. It will be used to view, categorize? ? and comment on each stored image. The admin tool will poll the database every 15 minutes and display a small brief notification on screen of the description of the new image. Also the tray icon will show the number of new images and # of images they're assigned. The additional fields for each image will be? ? ? ? ? 1. Application? (dropdown) - SCM, SMM? ? ? ? ? ? 2. Issue Type? (dropdown) - Display, Order Review, Order Entry, Order Verification, Worklist, Labels? ? ? ? ? 3. Status? (dropdown)- New, Under Review,? Closed ? ? ? ? 4. Current User? (dropdown) - a drop down of the current list of admin users ? ? ? ? 5. Case Number? ? ? ? ? 6. Remedy Ticket Number ? ? ? ? 7. Comments (List) - Each image can have? one to many comments. The admin tool application should use an advanced grid which supports grouping like the grid from DevExpress(preferred) and Infragistics. A tab control should be used to display then main grid and the second tab will be called history. The history tab will display the currently selected image's history of the changes with who and when the changes were made. The tool will allow email communication to notify other admin tool? users of issues. The application will require login with windows authentication and admin tool will allow setup of who has access.
